About Us

Local

Grampians Ale Works is located in Stawell, the Gateway to the Grampians, but also near the Wimmera region known for wheat and barley farming. We use local grain in production of our beers and hold sustainability as a key value with our brewery.  We are growing what will be a local hub, providing an environment for young and old to enjoy. We also see the grain farmers in Wimmera region and local maltsters as critical contributors to the success of our business who supply wheat and barley that we use in our beer.

Independent

Independence matters and it’s important for craft brewer to tell our story. For us, it’s the story of blood, sweat, and beer. It's also the story of a dream by pouring our heart and soul into every brew. It’s about the money spent on beer going right back into the community and helping a small business thrive. It’s about quality, craft beer and the renegades that brew it. As independent brewers, we have authenticity and roots in our communities and a clear conscience when it comes to who ultimately benefits from consumers buying our beer.

Brewers at Grampians Ale Works

We are a wholly family owned and operated Grampians business. Being local is important to us in that we are driven to create a venue that will champion not only our local beer, but other Grampians local products.

Meet the Family

We are a small, independent brewing company that started our journey travelling all over Australia and internationally to grow and learn from the craft beer family. We have been welcomed into the brewing community with open arms and every person in the industry we have met along the way has given us a huge amount of support. We have a robust affinity and belief in our local community, the Grampians which is why we decided on the name Grampians Ale Works. We want to unite with others to make great beer.

Having a great affection for hops we couldn’t help ourselves and we will launch with a focus on Ales but rest assured that we have many styles and recipes close to our hearts that we can’t wait to share.

Our collaborating with others won’t be limited to just other brewers and breweries; we hope to connect with other great local producers in the future to create some unique and different beers.
